As a big fan of Maybelline, I was very excited to try their brand new mascara, Maybelline The Falsies Surreal Extensions Mascara. I have been testing it out, so please check out my review and before and after photos.
What is Maybelline The Falsies Surreal Extensions Mascara?
This is Maybelline’s new mascara for 2023:
- Inspired by salon lash extensions
- Designed to deliver visible volumising and lengthening effects to natural lashes
- Uses hybrid-fibre technology to adhere different sized fibres for a fuller-looking finish
- The brush has a unique extended helix brush with long twisted bristles to help capture and coat every lash
- Buildable formula
- Offers up 24 hours of wear
- Clump-resistant as well as smudge-, flake- and smear-resistant
- Suitable for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers
- Ophthalmologist tested

My Review of Maybelline The Falsies Surreal Extensions Mascara
This is a really nice mascara to use and it is easy to layer and build to get the look you want.
It gives the lashes a nice fluffy volumised and extended look, and I think just one coats looks really pretty for day time. It also looks great with three coats built up, which to be fair, not all mascaras can take.
Three coats gives lots of length and volume without any real clumping or heaviness and it feels comfortable on the lashes.
The day I did a long test on it, the formula lasted really well, however, there was a tiny bit of transfer under my eyes as I was testing a new tinted moisturiser that was quite emollient and I didn’t set it.
I think this is a lovely mascara and definitely up to Maybelline’s high standards when it comes to lashes. I don’t think it beats my Sky High, which is up there in my all time favourites, but it comes pretty close.
