Kiln Lite

Clionadh Kiln Lite Jewelled Lite Multichrome Eyeshadow ($19.00 for 0.052 oz.) has a soft, grayer base that shifted from deeper burgundy to pinky-red to dark gold to green with a smidgen of blue-green at the very extreme end of the shift. The finish was finely shimmered but heavily shimmered despite of the particle size, while it was highly reflective as well.

The Lite version is lighter, almost like a faded version, and it was more shimmery.

  • Opaque pigmentation
  • Smooth, lightly creamy, very finely-milled
  • Slightly softer press but not prone to fallout or breakage
  • Picked up and applied evenly, blended out well
  • Long-wearing (9 hours before fading noticeably)

Formula Overview

$19.00/0.05 oz. – $380.00 Per Ounce

The formula is designed to have a gray base while still retaining an intense shift; the gray base is supposed to–and does–make it easier to diffuse and blend out the eyeshadow without muting the shifts while doing so. The Lites are also “brighter and more shimmering,” which I found more accurate. They had a more reflective finish and were a bit more textured as a result of the shimmer, but I’d describe them as glowing whereas the original Jewelled shades had a smoother sheen.

The consistency was smooth to the touch, dense without being firmly-pressed in the pan, and easy to pick up with a brush for an even application on the lid. I had no trouble applying or diffusing the edges, and they were easier to diffuse/blend out along those edges than the black-based multichromes. The eyeshadows were intensely pigmented.

On me, the formula lasted closer to nine hours on average before showing signs of fading. There was minimal fallout, if that, during application but not during wear.

Sandblast Lite

Clionadh Sand Blast Lite Jewelled Lite Multichrome Eyeshadow ($19.00 for 0.052 oz.) has a dark, grayish base with multichrome shift that went from faded, rusty red to soft copper to warm gold to green paired with a smooth, sparkling finish that had high sheen.

The Lite version was about two to three steps lighter and had a more “faded” quality along with being less bronze at the more extreme end (with red coming through more noticeably). The finish was more noticeably shimmery, which gave it a brighter effect.
