Jnews is an independent online newspaper covering the United Kingdom and the wider world. It is written, edited and run by a small team in London, with six dedicated section desks: UK, World, Politics, Business, Tech and Sport.

Our editorial mission is straightforward. We report the news in plain English, without slogans, without clickbait, and without pretending everything is breaking. We try to write the kind of paper a sensible adult on the bus might actually want to read on the way home.

Every story you read on Jnews is written by one of our named journalists in their own voice. We monitor a wide set of trusted public news feeds, weigh each story on its newsworthiness, and then rewrite the relevant ones as original articles. We do not republish third-party copy verbatim and we do not pretend to have been in places we were not.

We are based in London. You can reach the newsroom at hello@jnews.uk. We read everything; we reply to what we can.

Jnews Ltd is registered in England. We are reader-supported. We do not sell reader data to third parties, and we do not run any consent-banner advertising network — see our privacy and cookies pages for the detail.
