New US Trailer for ‘The Gold’ Series About Britain’s Biggest Gold Heist

“Gold like that – you can’t control it. And if you can’t handle it, then it will find its way to someone who can” Paramount+ has revealed an official trailer for a British series called The Gold, a heist thriller based on a true story. This originally aired in the UK at the beginning of 2023, and it’s finally showing up in the US for streaming on Paramount+ this fall. The series covers the 1983 Brink’s-Mat robbery in which £26 million (equivalent to £93.3 million in 2021) worth of gold bullion, diamonds, & cash was stolen from a warehouse near Heathrow Airport, and the widespread events that followed over the following decade. At the time it was the biggest robbery in history, and led to a number of international criminal investigations. Will they get away with it in the end? The Gold series stars Hugh Bonneville, Jack Lowden, Dominic Cooper, Charlotte Spencer, Emun Elliott, Tom Cullen, Stefanie Martini, and Sean Harris. While this is a wicked cool heist story, definitely does have that streaming sheen to it. Still might be an entertaining series.

Executive produced by Tommy Bulfin, Ben Farrell, Neil Forsyth, Kate Laffey, and Claire Sheppard. The series first debuted on BBC in the UK in early 2023, ending in February. Paramount+ will debut all episodes of Forsyth’s The Gold heist series streaming on September 17th, 2023 this fall (everywhere outside of the UK). Is anyone interested in watching this?
