Immerse Yourself in a Live Experience

People have been going to live experiences for centuries. Back in the day, Romans would watch different kinds of events, such as gladiators in the Colosseum. Greeks would watch people compete in the Ancient Olympics. Fast-forward to today, many live events cater for people of all ages. But what is it about live experiences that keep drawing us in?

Immersive Experiences
It’s 1891 and Martians have invaded Earth. As they attempt to destroy Parliament and Big Ben, you’re forced to escape London by boat. But the Martians are hot on your tail! You’ve got no choice but to keep running.
You decide to sneak into a Victorian house by climbing through windows. Then you find yourself speeding down a spiral staircase and hiding under a table in a vain attempt to evade capture. But do you manage to?
You get to do all of this with the help of virtual reality equipment in a multisensory War of the Worlds environment. This type of live experience immerses its audience in the action, which is one reason why so many of us enjoy live experiences.

Being with Like-Minded People

If people are going to pay to do something, chances are they would have checked it out beforehand to make sure they’ll enjoy the activity. In the case of War of the Worlds, people will need to be prepared to move quickly to avoid being imprisoned by the Martians. This isn’t everyone’s idea of an ideal live experience, and that’s OK because it would be boring if we all liked the same thing.

Some people would prefer a different kind of live experience, perhaps something they can do in the comfort of their own home when they’re able to, like online live bingo. Everyone playing is doing so because they ultimately want to win the jackpot, but they choose a room they want to play in and the jackpot that appeals to them most. Playing with people that want to do the same thing as you, gives you all something in common, which adds to the community feel of the activity.

The Unexpected

When anything’s live, part of the experience is the unexpected. In the War of the Worlds, no one knows when those pesky Martians are going to appear, how they’ll escape from being caught or what will happen after.
In turn, when playing online live bingo, no one will know who will win or when. Players won’t know how the presenters will keep them entertained, although they will in some way or another! Both live experiences have the element of the unexpected, or unknown, and that’s part of the appeal of live experiences.

Live experiences provide people with entertainment they get to see unfolding before their eyes. It allows for spontaneity, which adds to the excitement of watching something in real-time because no one knows what could happen and draws people into the experience. Experiencing something that they’ll never see live again creates special memories, and is something many of us will treasure for years to come.
