Details On The Allegations Against Zion Williamson
The woman, identified as Jane Doe, alleges two separate incidents where Zion Williamson forced himself on her despite her refusals. Per NY Post, the lawsuit also details claims that Williamson allegedly took her phone and choked her for “talking too much”. Williamson’s legal team denies the accusations, calling them “categorically false and reckless,” suggesting a financial motive behind the lawsuit. They confirmed that Williamson acknowledges having a consensual relationship with Doe, but denies any wrongdoing, and plans to countersue for defamation.
Doe’s complaint also alleges a pattern of abusive and threatening behavior during their time together, which she says lasted from 2018 through mid-2023. Additionally, the lawsuit also claims this alleged behavior spanned multiple states and is now at the center of a serious legal battle playing out in court.
Additional Information From The Lawsuit
PEOPLE reports that the lawsuit accuses Zion Williamson of threatening to have his security guard shoot her “in the head” while the guard was present and armed. She also alleges that Zion threatened to have a guard kill her parents, claiming to know where they lived.
Her attorney, Sam Taylor of The Lanier Law Firm, told The Post:
“Our client is very adamant about this — it’s not her desire or our desire to litigate this case in the press.” They continued, “It’s a very serious case, as reflected in the allegations. Our client looks forward to her day in court where she can go and explain to a jury what happened to her, the things she endured for this defendant and getting justice.”
More About Zion’s Personal Life
In recent years, Williamson’s personal life has attracted significant media attention, particularly involving the mother of his child, Ahkeema Love. In April, Love was arrested and charged with home invasion, aggravated battery, and stalking following an incident where she allegedly attacked a romantic rival, according to police reports obtained by NBC News. Furthermore, Love was later served an order of protection, per NBC News.
Williamson and Love welcomed a daughter together in 2023. Love recently announced that she is expecting another child, though she has not publicly confirmed Williamson as the father. As the legal battle unfolds, both sides await their opportunity to present evidence and make their case in the judicial system.
