The 2024 NFL season didn’t go according to plan for the San Francisco 49ers.
Despite being a Super Bowl favorite heading into the year, the 49ers finished 6-11, putting them in last place in the NFC West.
They couldn’t overcome all of their injuries, as they were seemingly plagued by them more than any team in the league.
Thankfully, many analysts believe the Niners have a strong outlook heading into the 2025 season, as many of their key players should be healthy enough to compete.
However, one player to watch, second-year wide receiver Ricky Pearsall, is already dealing with an injury.
“HC Kyle Shanahan said WR Ricky Pearsall tweaked his hamstring and will not be taking part in OTAs,” Lindsey Pallares wrote on X.

While this is not a concerning injury by itself, necessarily, Pearsall did miss time last year after suffering a gunshot wound, and also had some hamstring issues.
If the hamstring issue persists, and Piersall pops up on the injury report throughout the season, he could miss more time than Shanahan would like.
He was a first-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, and the 49ers want him to make a major impact on their offense moving forward, especially after Deebo Samuel was traded to the Washington Commanders.
Quarterback Brock Purdy may be looking for a new top target, which Pearsall could become, if he can stay on the field.
