Taylor Swift heard an unusual sound on Super Bowl Sunday.
The pop superstar is used to crowd adulation following her globe-trotting Eras Tour. There’s no bigger singer on the planet.
Period.
On Sunday, Swift earned a cascade of boos from the masses instead.
Swift’s Super Bowl appearance in New Orleans to support Kansas City Chief’s Travis Kelce sparked the boo brigade. That, coupled with subsequent cheers for President Donald Trump, sparked digital cries of misogyny.
Glamour magazine led the parade. The far-Left outlet took the series of events poorly.
“Why Taylor Swift Getting Booed at the Super Bowl was Even More Chilling Than You Think,” read the headline.
Not just chilling … “more” chilling. The article feels like a post-Nov. 5 temper tantrum.
That the Super Bowl, one of the biggest cultural events in the country, has been reclaimed by Trump and the type of toxic masculinity he appears to be the beacon of.
Yes, a major football event might be a tad masculine. Nailed it! Next up? Outrage over a UFC title fight for its violence and lack of empathy.
The author blames misogyny for Swift’s rude greeting, but the events in question betray that argument. The Jumbotron showed other female stars, like Anne Hathaway and Lady Gaga, too.
And no boos.
A sane soul would make the obvious connection. The media and the NFL have paraded Swift in front of us for far too long. We wanna watch football, not a celebrity love connection. What was adorable at first has become a bore. NFL loyalists crave football, not fashion updates.
The crowd got a chance to vent at long last. They paid the exorbitant ticket price and deserve to be heard.

Next, the scribe attacked President Trump for trolling Swift on Truth Social. To be fair, Swift came out aggressively against Trump during the heat of the presidential campaign.
She bullied him first, right?
The essay wraps exactly as one expects.
Not only does it feel like Trump and his ilk want Swift out of football, it’s like they want to return our entire country to a time when they were in control, had all the power, and could say whatever they wanted without repercussions.
I guess the scribe missed this feminist moment from Trump’s first month back in office.

A separate Glamour article on BooGate, because one wasn’t enough, also played the “M” card.
So, what exactly is the crowd’s beef with Taylor Swift at the Super Bowl? Is it just that she’s a powerful woman and football fans find that threatening? Is it because her fans largely tend to be women and the NFL’s audience often skews male? Because I’ve racked my brain and misogyny is the only plausible explanation I can come up with. And if that’s the vibe, what’s the incentive for any of Swift’s legions of global fans, or people who care about misogyny in general, to keep tuning in to the NFL?
If these “new” NFL fans fell in love with the sport they’ll stick around. If they tuned in each Sunday just to watch Swift’s reaction shots they may go back to other pursuits.
That’s not misogyny. It’s Fandom 101.
