This Spring is filled with numerous new TV series that look bingeworthy! Here’s a round-up of our must-watch new shows set to make waves.
Long Bright River:
Based on the novel by Liz Moore, Amanda Seyfried stars as Mickey Fitzpatrick, a Philadelphia police officer navigating Kensington, a community faced with an opioid crisis. The series follows Mickey’s search to find her missing sister, Casey. Born from two addicted parents, Mickey and Casey used to be inseparable, but their two different paths in life have kept them out of touch. Eventually, Mickey realizes that Casey’s missing case could be linked to a series of murders in the town. Long Bright River also stars Nicholas Pinnock as Truman Dawes, Ashleigh Cummings as Casey, and more. All eight episodes of “Long Bright River” will be available to watch on Peacock, premiering March 13, 2025.

Hacks:
The ‘Hacks’ season 4 trailer has dropped, and fans are getting ready! ‘Hacks’ is a comedic-drama series starring Jean Smart portraying Deborah Vance, a popular comedian in Las Vegas, and Hannah Einbinder portraying Ava Daniels, a young comedy writer. The show explores their relationship as colleagues, and how they navigate the complexities of the Las Vegas entertainment industry. The third season is out now on HBO MAX, and the fourth is set to premiere on April 10th, 2025.

School Spirits:
The second season of ‘School Spirits’ came out this January, after the first season quickly became a fan favorite. This supernatural teen drama follows Maddie Nears, portrayed by Peyton List, who is a high school student who just discovered herself trapped in the afterlife at Split River High. With no memory of the cause of her death, she embarks on her own journey to discover the truth behind her disappearance. Through Maddie’s adventure she uncovers new clues, relationships, and spirits along the way. The School Spirits cast also includes Kristian Ventura portrayed by Simon Elroy, Wally Clark portrayed by Milo Manheim, and more. The second season premiered on January 30, 2025, on Paramount+.

Running Point:
Already getting renewed for a second season, the new Netflix series ‘Running Point’ is a sports comedy series that premiered on Netflix on February 27, 2025. The show stars Kate Hudson as Isla Gordon, daughter of the owner of professional basketball team, the Los Angeles Waves. Gordon’s brother, Cam (Justin Theroux), is president of the team, and after getting into an unexpected accident, the position is soon passed off to Isla. ‘Running Point’ explores Hudson’s character navigating the ins and outs of the basketball business. The cast also includes Drew Tarver, Scott MacArthur, Brenda Song, Fabrizio Guido, Chet Hanks, and Toby Sandeman.

Dying for Sex:
‘Dying for Sex’ is an upcoming comedy-drama series, based on the true story of Molly Kochan. Starring Michelle Williams, after Molly discovers her stage four breast cancer diagnosis, she decides to leave her husband to take on a journey of self-discovery, and to explore her sexual identity. ‘Dying for Sex,’ is originally based off of the podcast with the same title, where Nikki Boyer, Molly’s best friend, takes listeners through the life of Molly before she passes away. The series will also star Jenny Slate portraying Nikki, Rob Delaney, Jay Duplass, and more. ‘Dying for Sex’ will premiere on April 4th, 2025 on Hulu.
