Watch dramatic moment driver hurtles down street and sends car smashing into tree in multi-vehicle crash

This is the dramatic moment a driver came hurtling down a residential street before smashing into the back of a car. The vehicle was propelled into the tree in the late night multi-vehicle crash.

CCTV footage captured the scenes as they unfolded at 10.15pm on Thursday in Hornsey Road, Kingstanding. As the clip starts, a driver can be seen making their way along the quiet road at normal speed.

Just four seconds later, a second car comes speeding along and plows into the back of a parked engine. It is sent hammering into a tree around a meter away, leaving extensive damage to the front bumper.

Debris could be seen strewn across the street after the multi-vehicle crash, which also involved other vehicles. Fortunately it is not believed anyone was hurt.

Fire crews, an ambulance and police were called to the scene following the smash. Paramedics confirmed no patients required assessment for injuries.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 10.16pm to reports of a road traffic collision involving multiple vehicles on Horsney Road, Kingstanding in Birmingham.

“A paramedic officer attended the scene. Upon arrival, no patients required assessment.”

West Midlands Police was called to the scene, but confirmed no arrests have been made in relation to the collision.
