Updates: Pedestrian taken to hospital following Coventry city center collision

There is a larger emergency services presence in attendance at an incident in Coventry city center this afternoon. The incident happened outside the Iceland store in Queen Victoria Road.

In the immediate aftermath there were three police vehicles in attendance and an ambulance. A picture from the scene showed what appeared to be a person lying on the ground in Queen Victoria Road, covered by a blanket, with emergency services personnel around them.

This is an ongoing incident and we will bring you further details as and when we get them. West Midlands Ambulance Service and West Midlands Police have been contacted for further details on what has happened.
