Schoolgirl followed into alley by man who ‘tried touching her’ in Wolverhampton

A man followed a schoolgirl into an alleyway and tried touching her, police say. The incident took place in Molineux Alley, Wolverhampton, not far from Wolves’ football stadium.

West Midlands Police has made an appeal for information and published a photograph of a man. A spokesperson for the force said: “We’m appealing for information after a man tried to touch a teenage girl in Wolverhampton.

“It happened in Molineux Alley at about 4pm on March 7. The girl was walking home from school when she noticed a man followed her into the alleyway.

“He tried to touch her, but she managed to get away and report what happened. Although she was not physically harmed we’re very concerned by what happened and we’ve been carrying out extra patrols in the area.

“As part of the investigation we’ve issued some CCTV of a man that we’d like to speak to as part of our inquiry. If you recognize him, please let us know.
