San Francisco Updates Its COVID-19 Health Guide on Vaccination, Mega Booster Requirements

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) – San Francisco health officials have updated the city’s guide to vaccination requirements required to attend so-called “mega-events” in San Francisco.

California changed the definition of an indoor mega-event to include any event with at least 500 people.

From 1 February, everyone over the age of 12 must present proof of being fully vaccinated at least two weeks before admission to the given event.

Anyone 16 years and older must prove they have received a booster shot at least one week before the event. From 1 March, this rule will be extended to apply to persons aged 12 to 15 years.

Children between 5 and 11 must be fully vaccinated or show evidence of a negative test.

Anyone aged 2 to 4 years must also show a negative test.
