Both Lakers superstars missed Wednesday night’s loss to the Toronto Raptors, the second game of a back-to-back. James, a late scratch, missed the game due to left ankle soreness.

Davis meanwhile was removed from their game on Tuesday against the Cleveland Cavaliers after exhibiting flu-like symptoms and according to coach Darvin Ham, had been playing with a “101-degree fever.”

The Lakers are on a two-game losing streak after going on their best run of the season, winning eight in their 10 games prior to the loss to Cleveland.

Davis has been on a magnificent run as of late, averaging 35.3 points, 15.6 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 2.9 blocks a game in the 10 games before catching a virus.

Similarly, James has been stellar during the Lakers’ recent revitalization, averaging 27.1 points, 9.4 rebounds, and 5.7 assists per game while shooting 45 per cent from long range over his last seven games.
