Paul Pogba issues update on his Manchester United future

Paul Pogba insists he has still not decided where his future lies as he nears the end of his contract with Manchester United. The 29-year-old is nearing the end of his six-year deal with United and would be free to leave the club for free at the end of the season if no fresh terms are agreed.

United are still planning for Pogba to leave in the summer as he approaches the last three months of his contract and are prioritizing the addition of a new midfielder in his place.

The Frenchman has impressed since he returned from a three-month absence with a thigh injury at the start of February, but sources close to Pogba say there is still no inclination for the midfielder to commit to United at the 11th hour and his situation remains unchanged under interim manager Ralf Rangnick.

Pogba will continue to be heavily linked with a move before the end of the season and he admits himself he is still unsure where his future lies.

“Nothing is decided on my future, there is nothing done,” he told Telefoot. “I can decide tomorrow, as I can decide during the transfer window. I want to come back, finish the season well.”

When asked what it is he wants to achieve in his club career, Pogba reiterated a desire to be winning major honors as he approaches five years without any silverware with United.

He added: “The season is not over yet, but almost because we do not have any more titles to play for. I want to win titles, to play for something and this year and the last few years we have not won a title. It’s sad. “
