Rule and role breaking husband and wife filmmaking team, Oscar Torre and Chuti Tiu follow up last year’s award-winning short film (Just A Man and a Woman) with another self-produced indie film that

lives in the gray areas, bares moral decisions as well as the flesh, and challenges audiences to recalibrate our initial perceptions of their characters’ lives.

A Summer Night tells the story of Summer (Chuti Tiu), an exotic dancer and recovering alcoholic, who is plunged into a race against time to raise money for her mother’s experimental cancer treatment over the course of one night. However, the enforced isolation of the pandemic, means she must seek out a series of clients virtually in order to dance for them – all the while knowing that the clock is ticking. Throughout the night, Summer tries to stay focused on her mission while still dealing with the remnants of her relationship with her boyfriend, the threat of succumbing to the lure of the bottle, and also finding surprising – and possibly life-saving moments of humanity, as the night wears on and her deadline approaches.

A Summer Night is a Handle With Care Productions release, starring Chuti Tiu (Yellowstone, Prisoner’s Daughter), Roberto Sanchez (Mrs. American Pie, 2 Fast 2 Furious), Oscar Torre (Gaslit, The Hangover III), Doug Tompos (NCIS: LA).
