As the Denver Nuggets enter the offseason, there is one clear trade target they should pursue: shooting guard Kevin Love.
Love is entering the final year of his contract with the Minnesota Timberwolves and has made it clear he wants out. The Timberwolves have been adamant about not trading him, but with the Nuggets’ stockpile of assets, they should be able to make a compelling offer.
The Nuggets have been one of the most improved teams in the NBA over the last two seasons, but they still lack a true superstar. Love would immediately change that, as he is a perennial All-Star and one of the best rebounders in the league.
In order to acquire Love, the Nuggets would likely have to part with one of their young core players, such as Gary Harris or Jamal Murray. But given Love’s talent and the Nuggets’ need for a star player, it would be well worth it.
