‘Lovin On Me,’ is a catchy tune by artist Jack Harlow that has taken over the air waves. If it isn’t playing back to back as you jump between radio stations we’re sure you’ve come across it as a popular musical choice on social media videos. Incase you didn’t know, “Lovin on Me” is a pop-rap track. It samples the 1995 R&B song “Whatever (Bass Solique)” by Cadillac Dale, repurposing its chorus. Jack Harlow often gets compared to Drake by critics, but this song was a surprise number 1 hit after not debuting there. The song is riding a sumptuous ’90s house beat, “Lovin’ on Me” is Harlow’s first chart-topper in over a year and a half, since “First Class.”
