The Killer Trailer

“Stick to your plan. Trust no one. Stick to the plan. Anticipate, don’t improvise.” Here we go…! Netflix has revealed a teaser trailer first look for David Fincher’s latest film The Killer, ready to premiere at the 2023 Venice Film Festival (the screening will be this Sunday – Sept. 3). This is Fincher’s second film with Netflix, after making and releasing Mank with the streaming service back in 2020. Based on a French graphic novel series, it’s about an hitman known as “The Killer”, played by Michael Fassbender. “After a fateful near-miss, an assassin battles his employers and himself on an international manhunt he insists isn’t personal.” The cast also includes Charles Parnell, Arliss Howard, Sophie Charlotte, and Tilda Swinton. Ohhh hell yes, this looks like it’s going to be awesome. Of course Fincher will deliver!! Seems much closer in tone to Fight Club or Girl with the Dragon Tattoo than any of his more recent films. Can’t wait to watch!! Only a few more months until it opens – and yes it will be playing in theaters before it’s streaming on Netflix. Enjoy.
