Man’s body found in Yardley park – police statement
The body of a man has been discovered in a park in Birmingham.
Police and ambulance crews were called to Old Yardley Park at 8:20 a.m. this morning (December 29).
Two ambulances and a paramedic attended the scene, and a spokeswoman for the West Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed the body of a man was discovered.

Police cordoned off part of the park while the incident was being investigated.
West Midlands Police say the death is not being treated as suspicious.
A spokeswoman for the force said: “A man’s body was found in Old Yardley Park in Church Road, Yardley this morning around 8.30pm.
“His death will not be treated as suspicious and will be referred to the forensic pathologist.”
The West Midlands Ambulance Service has issued a statement.
It read: “We were called at 8.20am to a park on Queens Road, Yardley, Birmingham. Two ambulances and a paramedic attended instead and sadly confirmed that a man was dead.”
