Man left with fractured skull after being punched and kicked in brutal Washington attack

A man has been left with a fractured skull and a bleed on the brain following an attack in Washington.

Shortly before 1.15am on January 30, a man and a woman were walking along Spout Lane near The New Tavern pub in Concord, Washington.

Two offenders approached the man and punched him in the head, causing him to fall to the ground.

They then kicked the victim on the floor before fleeing the scene.

The victim, who is in his 40s, was taken to hospital as a result of the attack which resulted in him suffering a fractured skull and cheek bone, as well as a bleed on the brain.

An investigation was immediately launched into the incident, and now as part of their inquiries, officers have identified three men who they would like to trace.

They were believed to be in the area at the time of the assault and could have information that can assist the ongoing investigation.

The men, or anyone who knows them, are asked to contact police via the ‘Tell Us Something’ page of the Northumbria Police website or by calling 101 quoting crime number 011865X / 22.
