Man charged with Muhammed Sohail’s murder in Saltley

A man has been charged with the murder of Muhammed Sohail in Saltley. Jervais Boyaram, from Guernsey Drive, Castle Bromwich, was due to appear at Birmingham Magistrates’ Court today, Wednesday, March 2, charged with murder, possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and possession of ammunition.

Mr Sohail died from a fatal gunshot wound in Saltley on Saturday, February 19. He was found in a car in Wright Road, Saltley, at around 12.45am.

He was confirmed dead at the scene. A 34-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been released on police bail as inquiries continue.
