A man was treated for ‘potentially serious injuries’ after paramedics responded to reports of a shooting in Birmingham. The victim received medical treatment at the scene before he was rushed to hospital.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said crews responded to reports of a shooting in the Copplestone Close area of ​​Shard End, just after 7.10pm, last night, Wednesday, March 30. A man received trauma care at the scene.

An ambulance service spokeswoman told BirminghamLive: “We were called at 7.11pm to reports of a shooting in the Copplestone Close area of ​​Shard End. An ambulance, two paramedic officers and a MERIT trauma doctor and critical care paramedic attended.

“Crews found one man who had sustained potentially serious injuries. He was given trauma care on scene before being transported on blue lights to hospital for further treatment.”
