A quest is always undertaken by three.” Disney has revealed the full official trailer their brand new Percy Jackson and the Olympians series, which will be streaming in December just before the end of the year. Based on the popular novel series of the same name by Rick Riordan, the demigod Percy Jackson leads a quest across America to prevent a war among the gods. Starring Walker Scobell (from The Adam Project & Secret Headquarters) as Percy. Just starting to come to terms with his newfound supernatural powers when the sky god Zeus accuses him of stealing his master lightning bolt. Now Percy must find it and restore order to Olympus. It also stars Lin-Manuel Miranda (Hermes), Megan Mullally (Alecto), Toby Stephens (Poseidon), Virginia Kull (Sally), Glynn Turman (Chiron), Jay Duplass (Hades), Jason Mantzoukas (Dionysus), the late Lance Reddick (Zeus), Adam Copeland (Ares), Suzanne Cryer, Timm Sharp, and Timothy Omundson (Hephaestus). This looks like it’s meant for kids and only for kids, playing up the “you’re special, Percy!” angle above all else. Enjoy.

This series tells the fantastical story of a 12-year-old modern demigod, Percy Jackson, who’s just coming to terms with his newfound divine powers when the sky god, Zeus, accuses him of stealing his lightning bolt. With help from his friends Grover and Annabeth, Percy must embark on an adventure of a lifetime to find it and restore order to Olympus.
