Kym Marsh revealed a huge new Cruella de Vil tattoo as she paid tribute to her portrayal of the iconic villainous character on Instagram on Thursday.
The old one Coronation Street The star, 48, described the design as “perfect” as she showed off the large black and red ink located on her ribcage.
She revealed that the drawing on her ribs “hurt” but that she had done it over an old drawing that “needed covering up.”
Kym wrote: “Thank you @jesswright_tattoo for my amazing Cruella tattoo. I needed something to cover up an old one and this is just perfect!
“A good reminder of the interpretation of this iconic villain! Although… if you have to get a band tattoo… your ribs HURTS!!! Sorry Jess for the occasional swear word hahah. You are an absolute genius!”
In a single shot, Kym posed alongside the talented tattoo artist Jess Wrightbefore showing the tattoo in a second photo.
It’s unclear what exactly the large Cruella de Vil tattoo, which takes up much of Kym’s ribs, replaced.
Fans were quick to comment to say they “loved” Kym’s new tattoo and agreed that ribs are a painful area to get tattooed.

Kym is currently playing Cruella de Vil in the UK and Irish tour of the musical 101 Dalmatians, alongside her new boyfriend Samuel Thomas, 29, who plays Tom Dearly.
The West End show opened at the New Wimbledon Theatre on 22 June 2024 and will continue to tour across the country until January 2025.
This happens a few days later Kym was forced to defend herself after revealing she was dating Samuel, who is the same age as her son.
At 29, Samuel – who she describes as “the most incredible man ever” – is the same age as her older brother, David Cunliffe.
Kym’s friends are reportedly worried that her new romance with a younger man could end in heartbreak if it “fizzles out”.
The soap star has the support of her friends who are apparently “happy” that she has found someone, but they are reportedly worried that she will end up getting hurt.
The actress is mother to son David, 29, and daughter Emilie, 27, from a previous relationship with builder David Cunliffe.
The couple, who met in a Lancashire pub, split in 1999, shortly before Kym rose to fame as a contestant on the TV talent show Popstars, where she would become a member of the short-lived pop group Hear’Say.
Two years later, Kym was appearing on Top Of The Pops when she crossed paths with actor Jack Ryder, a household name at the time thanks to his role as Jamie Mitchell in EastEnders.
They married at St Albans Parish Church, Hertford, in August 2002 and later sold the photos to OK! magazine for an estimated £300,000.
But seven years later, it was all over, with Ryder filing for divorce on the grounds of adultery following her apparent affair with her future second husband, Jamie Lomas.
At first, her friends were concerned that Kym had rushed into her relationship with Lomas, who she had started dating just four months after splitting from Ryder.
The couple met on a train while on their way to the 2007 TV Quick Awards, but the casual conversation quickly turned into romance, with the couple going public in 2008, a year before their divorce.
They had been together for less than two months when Kym fell pregnant with their first child, but tragedy struck when their son Archie Jay died moments after his 18-week premature birth on February 11.
The couple received happier news when they welcomed their daughter Polly in March 2011.
They exchanged vows in September 2012 but divorced in 2014, with Kym reportedly left stunned by Lomas’ decision to call it quits.
She remarried a third time to Scott Ratcliff in 2021.
The couple split 13 months after their marriage when Kym filed for divorce citing unreasonable behaviour.
