‘Knife-wielding’ Birmingham BMW carjacking suspects hunted by police

Police issued CCTV images of two men who may have information following a vicious carjacking in Birmingham. It happened in Dettonford Road in the Bartley Green area of ​​the city at around 5.45pm on Good Friday, April 15th.

Two men were said to have pulled up on scooters and dragged a 23-year-old man out of a BMW. He was threatened with a knife and beaten up before the robbers drove away in his car. The man had to be taken to hospital as a result of the attack.

West Midlands Police issued images of two men they would like to speak to in connection with the incident. One was wearing a hat and a gray hoody and was carrying a bag. The other had a hooded jacket, shorts, black socks and white trainers.

A spokesperson for the force said: “We want to speak to these two people about a robbery in Bartley Green. Can you help? It happened at about 5.45pm on April 15 on Dettonford Road, Birmingham.

“Two suspects on scooters pulled a 23-year-old man out of a car and threatened him with a knife before attacking him and driving away in his car. He was treated in hospital, but thankfully his injuries were not serious.
