Jubilee street parties in Solihull – full list of road closures

There are 53 street parties taking place across Solihull to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. As a result, there will be lots of road closures throughout the area over the Bank Holiday weekend.

The Platinum Jubilee marks Queen Elizabeth II’s 70th year on the throne. Four days of celebrations will happen with large events and beacon lighting taking place alongside Big Lunches and street parties from Thursday, June 2, to Sunday, June 5.

A huge party is planned in Victoria Square in Birmingham City Center with four days of live music, entertainment and food. Solihull Metropolitan Council has received lots of applications from residents requesting street closures to mark the historic occasion.

We’ve pulled together a full guide of temporary street closures in Solihull. Each closure runs from midnight to midnight on the date shown. Access will be provided through the restriction for police, fire and ambulance services responding to emergencies. This information is subject to change but is correct as of May 27:

Solihull road closures on Friday, June 3

1. Rock Road, Olton – from Howard Road to Pierce Avenue.

2. Park Hall Crescent, Castle Bromwich – from Silesbourne Close to Poundly Close.

3. Springfield Road, Castle Bromwich – form Marlborough Road to Manor Park Road.

Falstaff Road, Shirley – from Malcolm Road to Fabian Crescent.

5. Bartley Close, Solihull – entire length.

6. West Avenue, Castle Bromwich – from property number 64 to property number 104.

7. Ravenswood Drive, Solihull – the footpath with Emscote Green to Northdown Road.

8. Slimbridge Close, Monkspath – from Hay Lane for the remainder of its length.

9. Velsheda Road, Shirley – from property number 71 to property number 123.

10. Langley Hall Road, Olton – from property number 138 to property number 172.

11. Hartwell Close, Hillfield – from Chelveston Crescent for the remainder of its length.

12. Ebrington Avenue, Solihull – from Old Lode Lane to Charingworth Road.

4. Arnold Grove, Shirley – from Arnold Road for the remainder of its length.

5. Pinfold Road, Solihull – from Yew Tree Lane for the remainder of its length.

6. Regan Avenue, Shirley – from Shakespeare Drive for the remainder of its length.
