Now it sounds like something good, pure fun at one of Detroit’s most exciting bars. The Old Miami hosts a comedy carving of some of its best clients – “the people who have kept us open for 42 years!” the venue says and adds: “Guaranteed one of the year’s most talked about events.”
The event is hosted by Jimmy Doom, the author, actor, former punk rocker, occasionally Metro Times contributor and man about the city (of Detroit’s abdomen), so we know it’s going to be a night filled with laughter.
The dress is black tie-like. Just try your best. That’s what Old Miami has been doing since it opened in the Cass Corridor in 1980.
Starts at 21 Saturday, January 29; 3930 Cass Ave., Detroit; 313-831-3830; facebook.com/theoldmiami. Tickets cost $ 5.
