Hillingdon crash live: Motorcyclist killed in horrific ‘hit and run’ crash near Heathrow Airport

A motorcyclist has been killed after a horrific ‘hit and run’ incident near Heathrow Airport this morning.

Emergency services are currently at the scene on Holloway Lane, Sipson, with the Metropolitan Police confirming a man in his 30s was pronounced dead at the scene – with the driver of the other vehicle failing to stop.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police told MyLondon: “Police were called at 10.21am on Saturday, May 7 to reports of a collision involving a car and a motorcyclist in Holloway Lane, West Drayton.

“Officers attended along with London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance. The motorcyclist – a man aged in his 30s – was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin are yet to be informed. The car failed to stop at the scene and inquiries are ongoing to locate the driver. “

Traffic monitoring website Inrix is ​​reporting that Holloway Lane (A3044) is closed in both directions due to the accident, causing major delays along the route.

There is queuing traffic from the A408 Sipson Road to Harmondsworth Road, while motorists are being urged to avoid the area if possible.
