Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag is interested in a move for Chelsea’s Hakim Ziyech, according to reports in France.
French journalist Nabil Djellit, who works for L’Equipe and France Footballreports the Premier League attacker is a possible United signing, although the club aren’t quite decided yet.
He reports: “Erik Ten Hag wants to sign Hakim Ziyech at Manchester United. It is one of his priorities. But the Moroccan winger is not unanimous within the club.”
Ziyech starred at Ajax under Erik ten Hag, before Chelsea signed him in a £33.3m deal rising to £36.6m [BBC Sport].

Hakim Ziyech an option for Manchester United
This possible deal has already been floated this summer. Give Me Sport claimed in July that Ziyech was an option for United.
Now with Manchester United stepping back from a pursuit for overpriced Ajax winger Antony, it makes sense to revisit the option. He was named on our list of Antony alternatives last week.
Ziyech has struggled to live up to his price tag at Chelsea, scoring 14 goals and providing 10 assists in 83 matches.
Reuniting with Erik ten Hag could be appealing for him. Ziyech is heading to the World Cup with Morocco and wants to rediscover his best form.
Chelsea’s frantic transfer activity has pushed Ziyech further down the queue. The Mail reported he was free to leave last week for as little as £8 million, with AC Milan interested.
However, the Milan links have dragged on without resolution for weeks and Ziyech will be considering alternative options.
French outlet Onze Mondial also report the United links, although suggest he could cost more like £20 million.
Marco van Basten tipped Ziyech for a possible move to United earlier this summer, The Mail reported. He said: “What comes to my mind now is that I think Ziyech, who already plays in England, could be a very good footballer at Manchester United for Erik.”
As a short-term option, Ziyech makes United stronger. He can back-up Jadon Sancho on the right wing, and allow Amad to be sent out on loan.
Whether Ten Hag pushes a deal through, United sanction it, and Chelsea agree to let him join a competitor, remains to be seen.
Off the radar: Meanwhile a player linked to United earlier this week by Sky Sports is set to join PSG instead.
Renato Sanches was touted as a possible Frenkie de Jong alternative. Fabrizio Romano reports PSG have agreed a deal with Lille and the player is set to undergo a medical.
