The Browns took on the Texans in Houston in a Thursday night matchup. Both teams came in with identical 3-4 records, but it was the Browns who emerged victorious, winning by a final score of 10-7.
It was a defensive battle for much of the game, as neither offense was able to get much going. The Browns finally broke through late in the fourth quarter, scoring a touchdown on a one-yard run by running back Nick Chubb.
The Texans had one last chance to tie the game, but quarterback Deshaun Watson was intercepted by Browns safety Jabrill Peppers to seal the victory.
For the Browns, it was a much-needed win to stay in the hunt for a playoff spot. They will now turn their attention to a crucial divisional matchup against the Bengals next week.
