NEW YORK — Terrence Williams, who played briefly for the Sacramento Kings in 2012, was sentenced to 10 years in prison by a federal judge Thursday for defrauding the NBA’s Health and Welfare Benefit Plan of $5 million between 2017 and 2021.

Williams, a first-round pick by the then-New Jersey Nets in the 2009 NBA draft, was also ordered to forfeit more than $650,000 and pay $2.5 million in restitution.
