HowTheLightGetsIn comes to London once again this September and the festival has just announced Django Django will join the music line up.
The London-based indie band will join the likes of Mercury Prize shortlisted Gwenno, singer-songwriter Rosie Frater-Taylor and pop songstress Katie Mac when the festival takes over Kenwood House September 17-18.
Put on by the Institute of Art and ideas, the annual music and philosophy festival brings together musicians, artists, scientists and comedians to celebrate ideas and creativity.
This year, things will hang off the theme Error and Renaissance.
The eclectic line up aims to bring you acts you’ve not yet heard of, as well as ideas that might be new to you too.
In addition to the music, there’s a comedy and cabaret line-up featuring the funniest aliens around Bourgeois and Maurice, as well as Tatty McLeod, Ben Pope and Ahir Shah.
Speakers wise, so far Australian moral philosopher Peter Singer, author Esther Freud and Labor politician Thangman Debbonaire have been confirmed, and they will join the likes of journalist Amelia Gentleman and leading neurosurgeon Henry Marsh.
The full line-up is still yet to be confirmed, but expects more than 200 events across the festival and a stack of hidden gems to discover, such as the festival bookshop for The Waterfront restaurant.
Tickets are now on sale, from £128.
