Dakota Johnson is a Clairvoyant Superhero in ‘Madame Web’ Trailer #1 Ronny, November 15, 2023 Dakota Johnson is a Clairvoyant Superhero in ‘Madame Web’ Trailer #1 by Alex Billington November 15, 2023Source: YouTube “I don’t understand what’s happening… I’ve been having visions. I knew he was going to die. I think I’m seeing the future.” Sony Pictures has revealed an official trailer for the movie Madame Web, Sony’s next big Spider-Man multiverse spin-off movie made in conjunction with Marvel Studios. This one stars Dakota Johnson as a superhero named Madame Web. Set in New York City, Casssandra is a paramedic working for the FDNY until one accident changes everything – and she discovers that she has powers. Madame Web is a clairvoyant and precognitive mutant who first showed up to help Spider-Man find a kidnapping victim in the comics. The cast includes Tahar Rahim as Ezekiel Sims, Sydney Sweeney as Julia Carpenter, Celeste O’Connor as another Spider-Woman, and Isabela Merced as Anya Corazon / Araña, plus Mike Epps, Emma Roberts, and Adam Scott. This looks like an uneven mix of ideas thrown into one big mashup. So this dark Spidey is the bad guy? And the other Spider-Woman are with him? I guess we’ll find out next year. Here’s the first official trailer (+ featurette) for S.J. Clarkson’s Madame Web, direct from Sony’s YouTube: “Meanwhile, in another universe…” In a switch from the typical genre, Madame Web tells the standalone origin story of one of Marvel publishing’s most enigmatic heroines. The suspense-driven thriller stars Dakota Johnson as Cassandra Webb, a paramedic in Manhattan who may have clairvoyant abilities. Forced to confront revelations about her past, she forges a relationship with three young women destined for powerful futures… if they can all survive a deadly present. Madame Web is directed by the British filmmaker S.J. Clarkson, a TV director making her feature directorial debut after work directing on series including “EastEnders”, “Life on Mars”, “Love, Nina”, “Collateral”, and “Anatomy of a Scandal” previously. The screenplay is written by Claire Parker & SJ Clarkson; from a story by Kerem Sanga. Based on the Marvel Comics character created by Denny O’Neil & John Romita Jr. Produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura. Sony Pictures will debut Madame Web in theaters nationwide starting on February 14th, 2024 early next year. Find more posts: Marvel, To Watch, Trailer Entertainment
