The Pittsburgh Steelers have seen many good seasons with Mike Tomlin as their head coach.
However, the 2022 season is one seeing the team having a losing record.
With the Steelers at 3-7, it’s difficult for them to finish out the season with a winning record.
But even if they do, could Tomlin be on the hot seat next season for his poor start in 2022?
Tomlin Has Done Plenty To Stay Off The Hot Seat
While the 2022 season is a disaster, Tomlin has done too many good things with the Steelers since they got him in 2007.
With a Super Bowl win under his belt, and two Super Bowl appearances, he’s a proven winner with the Steelers.
He’s also never had a losing season as the head coach of the Steelers, as he’s posted 15 consecutive winning seasons.
“Mike’s done a great job. 15 straight winning seasons.” – Belichick on his counterpart Sunday, #Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin.

While this season threatens his streak, it in no way should put him on the hot seat.
However, some might feel he deserves the hot seat because of some questionable coaching hires under his watch.
The biggest mistake under his watch is letting Matt Canada stay on the team as the offensive coordinator.
Matt Canada is the worst OC in Steelers history. He needs fired. Canada is impeding the development of Pickens and Pickett. Hiring, and not firing, Matt Canada will be Tomlin’s biggest mistake in his career. Canada is that awful. Ownership needs to step in and fire Canada.

With fans already seeing this, they can only hope the mistakes of Canada don’t put Tomlin in the hot seat.
While 2022 might end poorly, it’s not an indictment of Tomlin, who’s always firing up his team.
Even with their record, they have slugged it out with teams like the Cincinnati Bengals this season.
If ownership looks at everything with their franchise, there’s no way Tomlin goes on the hot seat after this season.
