Billie Eilish references Johnny Depp on UK tour as he books out Birmingham curry house

Billie Eilish has referenced Johnny Depp during her UK live tour as the Pirates of the Caribbean actor racks up a huge bill at a Birmingham restaurant. The Bad Guy singer is performing across the country and comes to Birmingham next week.

Before that, she used her platform in Manchester to debut a new song. And the track has lyrics alluding to Depp and Amber Heard’s court case.

“We haven’t played a new song live before it’s out since 2017 or 2018,” she told the crowd. “This is one we just wrote, and we just wanted to play for you.”

“The internet’s gone wild watching movie stars on trial, while they’re overturning Roe v Wade,” Eilish then sang. Depp is currently on tour with Jeff Beck.

It is the singer’s first performance in England since she played Reading festival in 2019. The 20-year-old is also set to take a headline slot at this year’s Glastonbury festival later this month.

On Sunday evening Depp booked out an entire 300-seat curry house in Broad Street, Birmingham. Depp and Beck arrived with about two dozen members of their tour crew, from 7.30pm, enjoying a three-course dinner of chicken tikka shashlik, vegetable samosas and a king prawn starter.
