Live outdoor performances, indoor shows, story trails, bunting and craft workshops, a light ceremony and The Big Lunch in the Castle Grounds are some of the celebrations to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in Tamworth. The four days of celebrations will include public events and community activities, as well as national moments of reflection on The Queen’s 70 years of service.

Cllr Rob Pritchard, deputy leader of Tamworth Borough Council, said: “We are excited to bring some great community events together to mark such a momentous occasion of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

“Bringing the community together in celebration is something 12 months ago we would not have thought possible. How amazing it is to be celebrating 70 years of the reign of our Queen, especially as we now move out of the pandemic. We have a lot to be thankful for and a lot to celebrate! ”
