16 Stateville Correctional Center inmates graduate from Northwestern Prison Education Program

16 men are the first incarcerated students to graduate with a bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University through Northwestern Prison Education Program. According to the Alliance for Higher Education in Prison, there are 406 higher education in prison programs across the country. And there are nearly 2 million people who sit in prisons, jails, and detention facilities across the country.
