1 Lina Stores, Marylebone

As the newest venture for Soho’s utterly charming Lina Stores, the Marylebone outpost is an all-day dining restaurant, delicatessen and bar that continues to serve up fine Italian fare with a focus on moreish, handmade fresh pasta. The restaurant’s delicatessen will have a dishes to eat in or take away if you’re in the market for a quick snack or lunch too.

2 Ocher at the National Gallery, Trafalgar Square

Fittingly elegant for its surrounds, Ocher is the National Gallery’s new restaurant, opened by the duo behind South Kensington’s Muriel’s Kitchen. Found in the 20th century William Wilkins building, Ocher comes with a cocktail bar and lounge, private dinning rooms with views of Nelson’s Column and a DJ booth for late night events and revelry. Plating up modern European dishes made with seasonal British produce, Orche is now open for stylish lunch, dinner, afternoon tea or a weekend brunch.

3 Pascor, Kensington

A modern Levantine restaurant by Palomar’s co-founder Tomar Amedi with a focus on fire-cooked dishes. Amedi has created a menu that plays with traditional combinations and contemporary flourishes – think smokey, flavour-laden small plates of the likes of butter scallops with charred leek cream, burrata with dried apricot tapenade, pistachio and lamb’s lettuce; and burnt aubergine with black tahini, pine nut, pickled tomatoes, mint and capers.

4 SHIOK! patisserie

The Pan Pacific’s latest foodie venture is the creative, Singaporean-inspired patisserie by Cherish Finden, the hotel’s executive pastry chef and Bake Off The Professionals Judge. Homed in a shopfront designed by Tom Dixon Design Studios, Finden’s creations are both traditional and innovative, created with her signature flair and creativity. They include the Chocolate TeaPot, lemon and raspberry compote Handbag and a treat called the Kopi Tarik which is a coffee flavored sweet that comes with an edible spoon and cup.

5 The Boundary, Shoreditch

On the site of the old Albion Cafe, The Boundary is the new dining spot of the design-led hotel of the same name (which also has a cracking roof top bar and restaurant). Head chef Robin Freeman (ex 1 ​​Lombard Street, Ekte Nordic Kitchen) has created a European brasserie style menu with a focus on provenance. If you’re looking for a refined late night watering hole, The Boundary is also open til late serving up cocktails, craft brews and fine wines.

6 Maddox Tavern, Mayfair

Once the Cooling Lawrence & Sons gentlemen’s outfitters (of which Winston Churchill was a regular customer) Maddox Tavern is an all-day British brasserie, housed in an impressive 19th century Grade II listed building. Head here for a business breakfast, a quick drink and a snack, a leisurely full meal, a set lunch menu, or a Sunday roast. On the menu, you’ve got the likes of English shellfish cocktail, pan-fried foie gras with baby leeks and toasted brioche, or a benedict waffle or souffle omelette for brekky. Opens July 7

7 Zoom East Kitchen & Bar, Whitechapel

With Sicilian chef Vittorio Meli at the helm, Zoom East takes inspiration from the diverse food haven of his home region in Italy. The menu showcases Sicilian dishes influenced by North African, Spanish, Greek and mainland Italian cuisine through a selection of small plates and larger mains. Found at the Hyatt Place London City East hotel in Whitechapel, Zoom East Kitchen & Bar comes with a private dining Orangery, courtyard and aperitivo deli bar.

8 The Pelican, Notting Hill

Having been a pub since 1870, The Pelican has had a full restoration at the hands of its new owners. Head Chef Owen Kenworthy (ex- The Wolseley, Sketch) plates up rustic yet modern British and European fare in the dining room, and there’s as more causal menu for the pub – mince on toast and Welsh rarebit for example. With aims to be ingrained into the community The Pelicans plans to host film and jazz nights, as well as boxing, bridge and pilates classes.

9 The Residency, Westbourne Grove

Here’s another new neighborhood bar and eatery for Notting Hill. Open all-day with a laidback brunch service pre-5pm, and upbeat dinner service from 6pm till late, the kitchen prepares European and Caribbean inspired dishes. The venue also has a focus on music, and showcases local emerging musicians.

10 Fatto Pizza & Beer, King’s Cross

Brighton’s Fatto Pizza & Beer has arrived in London, bringing with it, it’s authentic Neapolitan pizzas, and craft beer. The menu features classics such as Margherita, Diavola and the Neapolitan favorite, Salsiccia e Friarielli, alongside a range of modern toppings and vegan options including Fatto A Mano’s homemade Tomato & Olive ‘Nduja.
